Ministry of Defence: One civilian killed; two waves intercepted
The Ministry announced the interception of two waves of Iranian missiles launched toward the country, dealing with them with high efficiency.
Missile debris fell in a residential area, resulting in material damage.
The debris also resulted in one civilian death of an Asian nationality.
Debris from intercepted missiles in the second wave fell in various areas of Abu Dhabi, including Saadiyat Island, Khalifa City, Bani Yas, Mohammed bin Zayed City and Al Falah.
No injuries were reported in the above-mentioned locations.
The Ministry affirmed its full readiness and preparedness to deal with any threats and said all necessary measures are being taken to firmly confront attempts to undermine the country’s security and stability.
Dubai: Four injured in Palm Jumeirah building incident; fire under control
Four individuals were injured after an incident in a building in the Palm Jumeirah area; emergency teams were deployed immediately, the site was secured, and Dubai Civil Defence confirmed the resulting fire is under control.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Condemnation and right to respond
The UAE condemned “in the strongest terms” the Iranian missile attacks targeting the UAE and several brotherly nations, describing them as a flagrant violation of national sovereignty and international law.
The Ministry affirmed full solidarity with affected countries, rejected the use of regional territories as arenas for conflict, and called for restraint and diplomatic solutions.
The UAE underscored its full and legitimate right to respond in a manner that safeguards its sovereignty and national security, expressed condolences to the family of the Pakistani national who lost his life, and reiterated that targeting civilians is prohibited under international law.
NCEMA: Situation under control; public advised to avoid debris
