UAE cops visit fraud victim at home to lodge case

Ajman - The police visited him at home as part of their 'at your service' initiative.

The Ajman Police have helped a person of determination lodge a complaint against a man who cheated him. The suspect had allegedly borrowed money from him and then issued a cheque, claiming it was for the amount he had borrowed from the latter.
However, when the person of determination went to the bank to encash the cheque, it bounced as the account against which it was issued did not have any balance in it.
The complainant could not find the suspect after that.
Captain Fatima Obaid Al Shamsi, director of the Ajman Police's society police department, said after the complainant called them, the police visited him at home as part of their 'at your service' initiative.
"After coming to know that the complainant was a person of determination, we visited him at home to complete all necessary procedures to file a case against the fraudster."
