UAE car crash victims bodies to be sent to Philippines

The bodies of the four car crash victims who died in Abu Dhabi on Good Friday, will be repatriated to Philippines this week, an embassy official has confirmed.
Four Filipinos - three men and a woman, died on the spot on Friday morning when a car rammed into their four-wheel vehicle early morning near Shahama.
The deceased were identified by the Philippines embassy as Lord Christian Asuncion Elli, 29, an interior designer, Veronica Dulay, 39, a secretary; storekeeper Daniel Paulo Paraiso, 30, and Marvin Mendoza, 27.
"All formalities are finished. We have already received the traffic accident report and a clearance certificate from the police. The employers of the victims are cooperating with us, and are processing the paper work. We expect all four bodies can be send back to their families by this week itself," a senior diplomat at the Philippines embassy, told Khaleej Times.
Two other passengers who survived the crash - Mary Ann Mendoza and Anna Paula Paulino, are currently under treated at the Al Rahba Hospital.
"Mendoza has undergone a surgery on her legs. Her situation is stable and she was able to talk to us when the Philippines ambassador visited her in the hospital," said the official.
Paulino wo has sustained head injuries is still in the ICU. "She is conscious and her condition is stabilizing."
According to the embassy, the six Filipinos - all from Dubai - were driving to St. Joseph's church as part of 'Visita Iglesia', a religious practice of Filipinos to visit churches on Good Friday.
"They were riding a Pajero and it stopped on the third lane of Shaikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Road in Shahama, due to a technical problem. The four victims had got down from the car to check when a Nissan Patrol rammed into the car from behind,  killing them instantly," said the official.
The Indian lady driver of the Nissan Patrol, is in police custody, pending investigation.
