More than 13,000 youngsters will participate in the third edition of the Mohamed Bin Zayed Majlis for Future Generations (MBZMFG) on Sunday.
The virtual event is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Organised by the Education Affairs Office at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court under the theme ‘Thriving in the Next Normal’, the interactive platform brings together university students from the UAE and abroad and youngsters too. It will unveil the findings of a first-of-its-kind study that documents the vision of young Emiratis for the next 50 years.
Titled ‘Looking to the Future,’ the study outlines the findings of an extensive survey of around 3,000 Emirati university students, conducted in two phases.
The virtual sessions will feature 12 ministers, six federal and local government officials, several international experts, and a group of local and international entrepreneurs. Overall, there will be 36 speakers. The Majlis presents an innovative and sustainable model to connect the youth and the UAE leaders. It is an exceptional opportunity for the youth to communicate with leaders, decision makers, and experts, in an effort to hone their skills, expand their expertise, and contribute to national efforts seeking to plan for the next 50 years.
Mohamed Khalifa Al Nuaimi, director of the education affairs office at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court, said: “The great turnout from young people at a rate never before seen in this event is a reflection of the growing popularity of the Mohamed Bin Zayed Majlis for Future Generations as a platform for the youth to communicate with our wise leadership, as well as with decision makers and experts, in a bid to acquire knowledge and skills that would allow them to contribute to the UAE’s efforts to shape a better future for coming generations. This broad participation also reaffirms the extent to which young people today need such platforms in a rapidly changing world.”
