The Sharjah Police in Kalba recently referred two Emiratis for theft at a commercial shop. The two suspects carried out the crime as they reportedly needed cash for partying at a night club.
The police received a complaint from the shop owner that he found the glass of the front door of his shop broken when he went to his shop in the morning. And all cash in the safe was stolen.
The police immediately formed a team with forensic experts who visited the shop and lifted finger prints and other evidence from the site. The police also launched an intensified search which resulted in the arrest of the two suspects.
During interrogation, the suspects confessed that they decided to break into the shop to steal the cash, only just to spend at a party in the night club. They added that they desperately wanted to be in the night club, but since they had no cash, they decided to steal. They said it was their first such attempt.
The police have said that they do not have any criminal record against the two in the country.
