Sharjah Police confiscate 12 vehicles, 30 motorcycles for reckless driving, causing noise

The police say the drivers were posing danger to themselves and those around them, as well as disturbing residents in the emirate

In a massive campaign, Sharjah Police have confiscated 12 vehicles and 30 motorcycles for reckless driving and causing noise, disturbing residents in the emirate.
The campaign, which is focused on curbing negative behaviours on the road, also saw the police detect 52 traffic violations. The police said that the drivers of the confiscated vehicles were posing danger to themselves and those around them.

Brigadier General Omar Al Ghazal Al Shamsi, Director General of the General Department of Operations and Security Support, noted that the rapid response to community complaints, the monitoring of violations and the impounding of vehicles from the very first day of the campaign reflect the efficiency of the specialised teams.
He added that Sharjah Police will continue to implement these measures and will not tolerate any behavior that may compromise community safety.
