Sharjah City Municipality has stepped up its efforts to improve parking availability across the emirate by launching Smart Parking Yards. The authority said the initiative is a innovative alternative to conventional paid public public parking.

Unlike regular parking zones, the new service is designed to operate 24 hours throughout the week, with no free hours, ensuring continuous parking access for both residents and visitors.

The yards are clearly marked with dedicated signage and equipped with camera systems at entry and exit points. The cameras automatically read licence plates and calculate fees. Drivers can choose between short-term parking or long-term subscription plans for added convenience.
