Sharjah announces up to 35% discount on traffic fines paid within 60 days
However, the discounts will not apply to certain serious traffic violations
Sharjah announced a 35% discount on traffic fines if payment is done within 60 days of committing the offence. The reduction applies to the financial penalty, impoundment period, vehicle storage fees, and any late penalties.
If payment is made after 60 days and before 1 year, a 25% discount shall be applied, on the financial penalty only.

The decision came in a Sharjah Executive Council meeting, chaired by Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al-Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council.
As part of the meeting, the Council also approved a 50% discount of government fees for entrepreneurs, which include 88 projects of different economic types.
The 35% discount scheme was earlier introduced in 2023 in Sharjah. Abu Dhabi has in place a programme which enables motorists to take advantage of a reduction on their fines all-year round.
