Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the temporary suspension of intercity bus services to and from Ajman and Sharjah due to the current unstable weather conditions.
The suspension will remain in place until further notice, as authorities continue to monitor the situation and prioritise passenger safety.
RTA has clarified, however, that Dubai Metro services are operating normally, with trains running as scheduled across the network.

Commuters are advised to stay updated through official RTA channels and plan their journeys accordingly while weather conditions remain unsettled.
Dubai earlier reminded residents of key emergency contact numbers as the emirate prepares for unstable weather conditions from Wednesday (December 17) to Friday (December 19). Authorities are urging the public to remain alert and take necessary precautions as weather conditions evolve.
According to forecasts, rainfall of varying intensity is expected across Dubai, occurring intermittently and affecting scattered areas. The meteorological department has advised residents to stay indoors where possible, exercise caution, and strictly follow any instructions issued by authorities to ensure public safety.
A period of low-pressure systems over the Middle East has brought heavy rainfall over the last week. Conditions will intensify on Thursday, with thunderstorms expected to hit the region. While the storm will affect Saudi Arabia during the day, it will move eastwards towards the UAE and Qatar by night, according to BBC Weather.
