Dubai: Accident on E311 near Global Village; motorists urged to take caution

Dubai Police have warned motorists to exercise caution after a crash occurred on E311.

The collision between two vehicles took place just after Global Village heading towards Jebel Ali.

This has caused traffic congestion on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed road, authorities warned. Google Maps users reported a crash in the area, and a stretch of red can be seen.

When an accident occurs, it is essential to proceed with care, and avoid slowing down to watch the crash. Such a dangerous habit will get motorists in the UAE a fine of Dh1,000.

But that's not all — slowing down at collision sites, known as rubbernecking, can cause further accidents, and delay response by emergency vehicles rushing to get to the scene.
