Three inseparable friends. Three most loving siblings. A moment of carelessness has taken six lives in two separate traffic accidents in Sharjah.
In the first accident, three Indian college students - in their early 20s - were killed when a speeding car crashed into theirs as they tried to make a U-turn in an unauthorised area.

In the second crash, three Egyptian siblings - aged 14, 13 and 6 - died, and their mother and two brothers were seriously injured after a speeding truck jumped a red light and rammed into their car. The accident was reported from Al Dhaid-Weshah Road in Sharjah early Saturday.

The three students from the Indian state of Kerala were identified as Ashmid Ashraf (20) from Kozhikode; Shifaam Musthafa (20) from Panoor, Kannur; and Mohammed Sunoon (21) from Kozhikode.

According to relatives of the deceased, five friends set out from Dubai in two cars to meet another friend in Sharjah's Madam area. Ashmid and Shifaam picked up Sunoon on the way. There was a lot of fog at the time of the accident, and as it was late at night, the highway was almost empty, the mother of one of the students told Khaleej Times.
Nizam, Sunoon's cousin, said the three were thick friends since childhood. "They were all born and brought up in the UAE and even went to the same school. They were inseparable."
