Abu Dhabi Police have announced the working hours for the Traffic and Patrols Directorate and the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department during the holy month of Ramadan.

At the Traffic and Patrols Directorate, the Violations Department will operate from 8am to 6pm from Sunday to Thursday.

The Customer Service Centre will operate from 8am to 2pm while the Investigations and Major Accidents Section will be working around the clock, in order to make it easy for customers to finish their paperwork during the holy month.

Working hours at the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department will be from 8am to 6pm in the service centres of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, while working hours will be from 9am to 2pm in the service centres in the Western Region. Technical inspection centres in Abu Dhabi, including the Al Salama building, Musafah, and the Aman station, will open from 7.30am to 6pm and then from 9pm to 3am.

The Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate confirmed the continuation of allowing payment of traffic and Mawaqif fines in instalments for vehicles with outstanding violations and expired licences during Ramadan, to enable customers to pay through the federal traffic and registration system.

Abu Dhabi Police called upon motorists to abide by traffic laws and to follow the instructions of traffic policemen near commercial areas and places with traffic congestion. They were also asked to adhere to speed limits, not violate red lights, pay attention to the road, give priority to pedestrians to pass safely, and to not park their vehicles in a random manner near mosques during prayer, as this will cause traffic congestion.
