Three high school students have received serious to moderate injuries after their cars turned over several times, while they were racing near their school in Sharjah's Al Sameed area.
The police immediately arrived at the site of the accident after receiving a call from the school management. The students were rushed to Al Dhaid hospital.
The police said the students were not carrying a license and were 'showing-off' by racing around the school. Their cars crashed into each others and turned over several times.
Initial investigations by the police revealed that the three students decided to race around the school after school had ended for the day - instead ending up in the hospital.
The police have urged parents to not allow children to drive to school for their safety and not allow them to drive without a license.
Reckless teenage drivers have become a menace in Sharjah, causing the police to intensify Isnad and Anjad patrols to monitor and control these type of dangerous activities which could lead to death and permanent disabilities.
