Wednesday saw strong winds which the NCMS warned were likely to reach 55 kilometers per hour at times in coastal areas, causing dusty conditions and significantly reducing visibility. Rough seas were reported both in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
On Thursday, the NCMS forecasts cloudy weather over most areas of the UAE, with a chance of scattered rainfall hitting coastal areas, as well as over the North and West of the country as well as over islands.
According to the NCMS, the strong winds will blow dust over exposed areas and again be accompanied by reduced visibility. Temperatures are expected to decrease significantly from Wednesday's high of 32 Celsius and low of 22.
The inclement weather is expected to continue through Friday.
