'May Allah protect our nation': Sheikh Hamdan shares iftar with dignitaries, citizens

After the call for Maghrib, the attendees performed the prayer at the outdoor venue

Embodying the spirit of community gathering and togetherness during Ramadan, Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid shared an iftar banquest with high-ranking local dignitaries and citizens.

In a video shared by the royal on his social media, the attendees are seen arriving at the outdoor venue in the afternoon before Maghrib prayer, queuing to shake hands with Sheikh Hamdan who greeted them as he entered by saying "Al Salamu Alikom".

At Maghrib time, Sheikh Hamdan and the guests broke their fast then they headed to a place to perform the prayer together. They stood in rows behind the imam, with the Crown Prince in the first row.

Following the prayer, they headed to the banquet to have their iftar then they all sat down for an after meal chat, with the Burj Khalifa lighting up the night's skies in the background.

The Dubai Crown Prince commented on the video by saying: "Ramadan is a month of blessings that brings people together and strengthens compassion across our community. May Allah protect our nation and leadership, keep us united, and bless our gatherings with goodness and warmth."

Among the attendees were Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Ruler's grandson, Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Al Maktoum, chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, ADNOC Managing Director and Group CEO and Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, chairman and CEO of Emirates.
