A 31-year-old Emirati firefighter working with the Sharjah Civil Defence died in an accident while he was carrying out the sterilisation drive near Al Khan bridge.

According to a Sharjah Police official, the accident occurred when the fire truck, which was being driven by the deceased, diverted off the road and hit the cement barrier, causing it to overturn several times.
