An Asian resident stood trial in the Sharjah Misdemeanour Court for allegedly stealing Dh8,000 cash and cheques worth Dh10,000 from the car of his boss at the 6th Industrial Area.
As per court records, the case dates back to May 19 when the suspect forced open the car of his boss, and stole the wallet that was kept inside.
The indictment sheet shows that the wallet included Dh8,000 in cash and Dh10,000 in cheques.
The claimant and his brother lodged a complaint with the Sharjah Police against the accused, who flatly denied the charges.
He added that he used to work with the plaintiff and his brother.
"They do want to set me up and get me deported from the country."
The court ordered adjournment of the case to October 1 for the victim and his witness (his brother) to appear in court and give their testimonies.
