A motorist who filmed himself driving at 200kmph on a Sharjah highway has been arrested, the police have said. The suspect took a video of the reckless feat and posted it on social media.

The arrest comes two days after the Sharjah Police said a radar had caught a car speeding at 278kmph this year. This was among the 274 motorists who exceeded speeds of 200kmph in the first eight months of 2020.
