UAE's postal service Emirates Post on Sunday issued a statement after its Al Khan branch in Sharjah was named among the worst five service centres in the UAE by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

"Following Sheikh Mohammed's comprehensive evaluation of all UAE's government centres, we humbly acknowledge that transformation within our business is needed. To address this, we have deployed a dedicated team on-the-ground at our Sharjah Al Khan branch to improve services as a matter of urgency, as well as reviewing branches across the network," Emirates Post said.
"As a business, we are focused on improving the quality of our services and enhancing the customer experience in line with the vision and guidance of Sheikh Mohammed. We are in the midst of a transformation designed to make Emirates Post a postal service to be proud of. The changes taking place across our branch network will see improved offerings and digital solutions that will make our business more streamlined and efficient," the statement added.

Sheikh Mohammed had on Saturday announced the UAE's top five and bottom five government service centres, based on his directive back in July to conduct a comprehensive performance evaluation of 600 service centers of 29 federal government entities across the country.

The five best entities were:

2. Ministry of Education, Ajman centre

3. Ministry of Interior, Traffic and Licensing, Ajman centre

4. Ministry of Interior, Wasit Police Station, Sharjah

5. Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, Ras Al Khaimah centre

The worst performing entities were:

1. Emirates Post Group, Al Khan branch, Sharjah

2. Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Al Muhaisnah Centre for Preventive Medicine, Dubai

3. General Pension and Social Security Authority, Sharjah centre

4. Ministry of Community Development, Social Affairs, Abu Dhabi, Baniyas Centre

5. Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Fujairah centre
