As many as 180 patrols have been deployed by the Sharjah Police to ensure safety and security before and during the Eid Al Adha holidays.
The police have readied a comprehensive action plan for the Eid period and stepped up traffic safety measures.
Brig Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, deputy commander-in-chief of Sharjah Police, said the patrols would monitor and regulate traffic on all roads across the emirate.
Police have also deployed maritime rescue patrols to monitor beaches during the holidays.
Residential patrols will also be around especially in places that are usually see a huge number of visitors. The patrols will ensure that anti-Covid measures are followed in these locations. The police have also directed all departments concerned to work in tandem.
