Sharjah Ruler orders release of 439 prisoners ahead of Eid Al Adha

Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, ordered the release of 439 inmates serving their sentences at the Sharjah Punitive and Correctional Institution, ahead of Eid Al Adha.

The decision benefits those who met the pardon criteria and demonstrated good behavior during their time in custody.

In a similar gesture, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan earlier announced the release of 963 inmates from correctional facilities across the country.
