UAE: Sharjah Ruler grants football team Dh20 million for winning AFC title

This marks the first time in the club’s history that Sharjah has won a continental title

Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and the Ruler of Sharjah has granted Dh20 million to the Sharjah Football Club team members who recently won the inaugural AFC Champions League 2 trophy.

In a photo, the Ruler is posing with the winning players whom he met on Tuesday.

The team made history on Sunday, achieving a dramatic 2-1 victory over Singapore’s Lion City Sailors in a thrilling match held at Bishan Stadium in Singapore.
