Sharjah Ruler approves Dh42 million to build roads in two key areas

The funding will be directed towards building internal roads, which will begin after the completion of sewage works

Sharjah's Ruler on Monday approved funding to build internal roads in key areas of the emirate.

Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, approved Dh27 million for the Al Ramaqiya area and Dh15 million for the Al Suwaihat area.

This will be directed towards building internal roads in those areas, which will begin after the completion of sewage works. Work teams will then move to the remaining areas.

The Ruler also approved a new type of leave, called 'care leave', for female employees in the Sharjah government. The extended leave is for mothers who give birth to a sick or disabled child requiring continuous care. Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Sharjah Human Resources Department, announced on the Direct Line radio programme.
