Sharjah Ruler approves 200 jobs, bonuses worth over Dh10 million annually

The move reflects Sheikh Sultan's commitment to rewarding dedicated employees for their contributions to enhancing government performance

Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved the hiring of 200 Emirati citizens in the Sharjah Government, 100 to join newly launched development projects and another 100 to be appointed across various government departments.

Sheikh Sultan also approved the promotion of 238 employees across different administrative levels within the Sharjah Judicial Department, along with performance-based bonuses for 56 employees, with a total annual cost of Dh10,992,228.

These directives reflect Sheikh Sultan's ongoing commitment to strengthening government entities with qualified Emirati talent, supporting the welfare of Emirati families, and rewarding dedicated employees for their contributions to enhancing government performance.

In January, Sheikh Sultan also approved the employment of 1,000 Emirati men and women across the emirate’s cities to provide opportunities for recent university graduates.

This brought the total number of job opportunities announced under the 2026 budget to 2,000 positions, in support of localisation (Emiratisation) programmes in the emirate.

The Ruler of Sharjah also approved the 2026 plan for the Sharjah Programme for Training and Qualifying Job Seekers, which will benefit 1,200 Emirati men and women from across the emirate, with financial allocations amounting to Dh60 million.
