The inspection operations and customer services building of Sharjah Municipality was inaugurated at Industrial Area No. 5 on Monday.
The new building spanning 2,800 metres is equipped with advanced technology to cope with modern times and rapid development.
The building was inaugurated by Rashid bin Talaiha, Chairman of Municipal Council and Riad Abdulla Aylan, Director-General of Sharjah Municipality. Speaking to Khaleej Times, Riyad Al Elan said that the opening of the new building is part of the municipality's series of achievements which cope with the rising population.
Sharjah Municipality always seeks to improve its services for the customers and has already brought all services under one roof to save time and effort for customers.
About the official inauguration of upgraded official website of the municipality, he said that the upgraded version is ensuring communication with public who can send their suggestion and place their complaints at various sections.
The website also provides electronic issuance of permission and licenses. Omar Al Sharji, Director of the Inspection Operation said that the new building provides 71 services and include the tenancy regulatory department, parking department as well as inspection operation and other department.
The new centre is easily accessible as it is situated at the heart of the city.
