Sharjah announced free parking on the occasion of the Eid Al Etihad public holiday in the UAE on Sunday, November 30.
Motorists will be exempted from public parking fees on Monday, December 1, and Tuesday, December 2. Usual free parking in the city is applied on Fridays.

Most residents across the UAE are getting a four-day long weekend on the occasion of the National Holiday, with December 1 and 2 being declared as public holidays. Combining with the usual weekend of Saturday and Sunday, this translates into a four-day break.
Meanwhile in Sharjah, where some employees operate on a four-day work week and get Fridays off too, there is a five-day holiday period for these residents.
Dubai recently announced its three-day free parking during the festive period. Fees is set to resume on Wednesday, December 3, with the free parking not covering multi-storey car parks and Al Khail Gate N-365.
Additionally, Abu Dhabi declared that parking will be free for three consecutive days starting Sunday, November 30, on the occasion of UAE National Day. Darb tolls will also be free of charge during this period.
