Sharjah: 2 food warehouses closed for storing banned items

Sharjah City Municipality has carried out thousands of inspections across food establishments in the first quarter of the year.

The authority said in a statement on Tuesday that it carried out 12,256 inspection visits to food establishments during the first quarter of the year.

During these inspections the municipality decided to close two food warehouses for failing to meet approved health requirements. They were also sttoring banned food products which are prohibited for circulation in Sharjah.

The authority implemented administrative and legal measures against violators immediately.

The authority undertook these inspections to ensure compliance with health standards and regulations to enhance public health across the emirate.
