Shaikh Mohammed launches new CSR initiative

His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai on Tuesday launched a social initiative called: "Mohammed Bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy.  
The initiative is an extension to the achievements made by Dubai, and the UAE, as a global hub for humanitarian aid, which travels above and beyond the borders of the country.
Shaikh Mohammed's initiative to enhance humanitarian aid, locally and internationally. The Dubai Ruler aims to develop the UAE's international position in terms of humanitarian aid.  
". Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's organisations never fail to meet their humanitarian objectives, and have always lent a timely hand to those in need all over the world," Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA commented on the new initiative.  
Al Tayer added: "The achievements made by these organisations have not only helped the poor, supported affected communities, and opened schools and places of worship in remote areas, but has also provided financial aid to families, citizens, and residents, for education, food, the maintenance and building of houses, charity projects, people with special needs, and the guardians of orphans, in addition to supporting the development of water projects." 
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will donate a sum of money from its new connection services to assist promote the marriages of young Emiratis. This supports DEWA's policy on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability, as a pioneering national organisation for economic and social development.
