Shaikh Mohammed issues Decree on DEWA

Dubai - His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, issued Decree No (32) of 2015 forming the Board of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).

Matar Humaid Al Tayer chairs the new Board.
The Decree has named the Members of the Board. They include Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer who also serves as Managing Director, Hilal Khalfan Bin Dhaher, Abdullah Mohammed Al Hashimi, Khalfan Ahmed Hareb, Majed Hamad Al Shamsi, Obaid Saeed Bin Meshar, Saeed Mohammed Al Shared and Nabil Abdul Rahman Arif. The Board will serve for a three-year renewable term.
Pursuant to the Decree, if the term of the Board's membership expires without any new members being named, their membership will remain valid until they are reassigned or new members are named.
This Decree is considered effective from September 24, 2015 and is to be published in the Official Gazette.
