Second youth injured in RAK accident dies

Ras Al Khaimah - According to a police official, the driver lost control over the vehicle and rammed into a lamp post on the roadside at 3am.

 A 19-year-old Arab man succumbed to injuries he received in a grave road accident in Al Maamura area in Ras Al Khaimah early on October 2.
The victim was declared dead late on Saturday at the Saqr Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah. His friend, who was driving the car, was killed on the spot in the accident.
According to a police official, the driver lost control over the vehicle and rammed into a lamp post on the roadside at 3am.
Brigadier Dr Mohammed Saeed Al Humaidi, director-general of the central operations room of the RAK Police, said that the dead victim was speeding and failed to be attentive on the road. "His friend, who sustained critical injuries, was rushed to the nearest hospital. But he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday."
