Dropped him near his school on Monday morning, the boy asked him for some money for snacks.

Finding the situation funny, Javeed just had a laugh to himself, knowing this was a common occurrence.

Just moments after, the day turned into a nightmare for Javeed.

Hit by a speeding car, Faizal died on the spot while crossing the road next to the school at around 9.15am in the Al Manaseer area.

Acting swiftly, the Al Ain police arrested the driver of the car.

Speaking to Khaleej Times, the inconsolable father said, “I dropped my son next to his school this morning (Monday) and when he asked me for money I had a laugh and I told my son that I was used to this and of how much I loved him.”

“Some of his friends told me that as they were crossing the road, a motorist, driving at a high speed, jumped the red signal and hit my son. Faisal was with five other friends when the accident took place. His friends were able to cross the road but he was unfortunate,” the father said.

A team from the Al Ain Police Emergency and Safety Unit rushed to the scene and the ambulance carried the dead body to the Al Ain Hospital Morgue.

“Faisal was my youngest son, he has two brothers,” the father said. Faisal’s mother was unable to speak.

Elham Al Abed, the Principal of Al Dhafra School said, Faisal was an outstanding student and was very popular among his friends and teachers. She added that he would be remembered as an outgoing, carefree and studious youngster.
