Road closures in Dubai, RTA urges public to take alternate routes

Dubai - Major roads partially closed for Ironman Triathlon Championship till afternoon
As Dubai is hosting the Ironman 70.3 2021 Triathlon Championship on Friday, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has reminded the public about a number of road closures till 1.50pm today.
The authority urged motorists to use alternate routes as Jumeirah Road, Umm Suqueim Street and Al Qudra Road will be partially closed.
Motorists can take Al Wasl Road, Latifa Bint Hamdan Street, Al Meydan Road, Dubai-Al Ain Road or Lehbab Road for their journey.
“To organise IRONMAN 70.3 2021 #Dubai bike course, we implemented a plan to ensure smooth traffic flow on Friday, March 12th, on Jumeirah Rd., Umm Suqeim St., and Al Qudra Rd. from 6:45 AM to 1:50 PM. Thank you for your cooperation,” the RTA said in a tweet.
According to the organisers, details of the road closures are here:
Jumeirah Rd - Al Thanya St. coming from North (Dubai): From 7am-9am (controlled passing will be allowed)
Al Thanya St From 9-1pm (will be closed).
Jumeirah Rd - Umm Suqueim St coming from Al Sufouh Rd: From 7am – 1pm (Entrance to the Jumeirah Rd. will be blocked)
Umm Suqueim St - Al Sufouh Rd: From 7am - 1pm (Left turn towards Al sufouh Rd will be closed)
Sheikh Zayed Rd from Dubai - Umm Suqueim St South: From 7am - 9.30am (will be closed)
Sheikh Zayed Rd. from Abu Dhabi - Umm Suqueim St. North: From 9am - 1pm (will be closed)
Exit from Al Barsha South to Umm Suqueim St: From 7am - 1pm (only right turn will be allowed)
Entering Al Barsha South from Umm Suqueim St: From 7am - 1pm (entry will be allowed only from the North side).
Entering Al Barsha South from Umm Suqueim St South: From 7am - 1pm (take the turn via Al Khalid Rd and Hessa St)
Exit from Arabian Ranches to Umm Suqueim St: From 7am - 1pm (only right turn will be possible)
Exit from Motor City to Umm Suqueim St: From 7am - 1pm (only right turn will be possible)
Exit from Studio City to Umm Suqueim St: From 7am - 1pm (only right turn will be possible)
Parking Cycle Course (Cycling Gate): From 7am – 1pm (will be accessible only from the South)
