Residents share urban planning ideas in Ajman

The Ajman Municipality has held discussions with the residents of Masfoot and Al Manama areas in the emirate about their concerns regarding the execution of its comprehensive urban plan project 2030. The forum was held at Al Manama Museum in Ajman.
The meeting discussed ideas, suggestions and solutions that will qualify Al Manama as a comprehensive tourist city - health, educational, leisure and other services. It will also help attract tourists to enjoy the tranquility of the region. The residents suggested a series of constructive proposals and development ideas aimed at developing a clear vision, to assist decision-makers of the project.
Abdul Rahman Al Nuaimi, director-general of the Ajman Municipality, said the project serves future generations and ensures a dignified life. "The municipality is keen to identify the needs of the residents while making developmental proposals as this will significantly enrich the urban planning. We chose to organise this vital forum to inspire future generations." 
He also said that Al Manama and Masfoot are inseparable parts of Ajman.
Dr Mohammed Bin Omair, director of the infrastructure development department at the Ajman Municipality, said the biggest challenge for the project managers in Al Manama is to develop the region while maintaining its natural beauty. "We have to preserve the identity of the region along with its archaeological sites and work towards maintain the originality while developing shopping malls and dynamic hotels to promote the region."
