As was the case during the previous Eid Al Adha, the community patrol vehicles of the Ras Al Khaimah Police broadcast the Takbeer (Allah is the greatest) while driving along the roads of the emirate.

The community drive was initiated by the Al Mamourah Police Station in the emirate last year.

The move is aimed to enhance public satisfaction and boost community partnership, according to Col Dr Rashid Al Salahdi, director general of Community Police, RAK Police.

"The community police patrols roamed the roads of the emirate with the Takbeer sounded from loudspeakers."

The move is aimed to share the moment and bring happiness to the public, he added.

"The RAK Police always adopted all initiatives that are good for the public."

Abdullah Saeed, an Emirati national, said he was so happy with the Takbeer initiative.

"I wished all entities across the country to sound the Takbeer to let the public live these special moments with Haj pilgrims."

Faithful have been asked to perform Eid Al Adha prayers at home as a precautionary measure against the spread of Covid-19. It was announced that the Eid Takbeer will be broadcast via loudspeakers.
