A charity group in the emirate has decided to dig out low income group families, who refrain from seeking help out of shyness, to be included in the list of beneficiaries.
Mohammed Jakkah, secretary-general of the Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Charity Association, told Khaleej Times that it will find those modest people, in need for assistance, through third party assistance.
"As such, we have launched this 'Help rather for modest poor families' to support this segment of the society who are indeed in need for help, but feel offended or shy to seek help."
What is more interesting is that those modest people shall not be asked to submit the necessary documents to verify their need for help, he noted. "We will do the job and dig out for them through local dignitaries and expert social workers."
The RAK Charity Association has received many reports about those disadvantaged people who hardly manage their daily affairs, but insist on never ever seeking help from others, he said.
"It is our job to reach those people, ease their suffering, and fulfil their needs, mainly on festive seasons like the holy month of Ramadan, Eid Al Fitr, Eid Al Adha, and new academic year."
Elaborating, he said the association would be in direct and constant communication with public figures and dignitaries who are well aware of the financial condition of all families around the emirate.
"They will then provide us with a list of those shy low-income families, who are not listed as beneficiaries with other charity associations in the emirate."
