Sharjah Municipality has installed a new high-efficiency lightning system in Al Nakheel Park located in the emirate. The system installed runs on solar energy.
Municipality said that the new lighting system uses power saving lamps, which help in reducing the energy consumption. The installation of the new system comes as part of the municipality's strategy to ensure sustainable development and to use more green power in the public entities.
The municipality also announced on its official Instagram account, that the 50 lights installed in the different areas of Al Nakheel Park were to be controlled by a system operated by artificial intelligence (IA), which would switch the lights on and off.
A similar lighting system consisting of 87 power-saving lamps has also been installed in Al Juraina Park in Sharjah.
