The number of customers leaving with a smile after availing of Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) services has increased in the first six months of the year, smart cameras have revealed.
With the cameras screening the facial expressions of 26,476 customers at the RTA offices in Deira, Al Awir, Barsha and Umm Ramool, the authority said the overall customer satisfaction rating ranged from 85.6 per cent to 92.8 per cent.
"The cameras analyse facial expressions of clients before and after the processing of their transactions. The images are not saved so as to protect their privacy. The system transmits instant notifications in case the happiness rating in any happiness centre drops below the pre-set levels," said Ahmed Mahboub, executive director of customers happiness at the RTA's corporate administrative support services sector. "Accordingly, decision-makers will be in a better position to take actions to rectify the situation."
