UAE summer: Over 1,500 workers in Umm Al Quwain receive meals, cold drinks, gifts

More than 1,500 workers in Umm Al Quwain received meals, cold drinks and gifts on Monday, August 24, as part of the seventh season of the ‘Let’s Cool Them Down’ initiative.

Organised by the Ambassadors of Happiness volunteer team, the initiative travels across the UAE to support workers at their workplaces during the summer while recognising their efforts and promoting values of giving, solidarity and social responsibility.

During its Umm Al Quwain stop, volunteers visited construction sites and projects across the emirate to distribute meals, cold drinks and gifts as temperatures remained high.

The initiative is held under the patronage of Sheikh Humaid bin Ammar Al Nuaimi, Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Ajman.

The volunteer team said its continued journey across the UAE reflects its commitment to strengthening a culture of volunteerism and spreading the values of compassion and solidarity.
