It all started with Reem Abdullah Al Shamsi, who shared a photo of her family’s home adorned with a banner featuring the phrase and the UAE’s emblem.
The image quickly resonated with many across the nation who were looking for a way to express their solidarity.
“The idea started from a simple prayer for the homeland, and it turned into a message that everyone is sharing: ‘I have fortified you in the name of God, O homeland'." Reem Al Shamsi told Khaleej Times. “May God protect our homeland and grant it continued security and stability.”
Inspired by Reem’s post, Emirati designer Omar Kaidi took the initiative to create a series of designs for the banner, making them available to anyone who wished to print and display them with recommended sizes.
His designs have allowed the message to spread even further, with more and more households joining the movement.
The trend has seen widespread participation, with people like Shamma, who also shared the picture of their house with the banner, creating a ripple effect of solidarity across the country.
This grassroots movement is a testament to the strong sense of belonging and unity among the diverse communities that make up the UAE, reflecting a shared prayer for the nation’s well-being and prosperity, especially when the region faces challenges.
