Erring drivers in Ajman were made aware of their actions instead of being issued fine tickets on Sunday. As part of the conclusion of the Year of Tolerance activities, the Ajman Police educated motorists about the need to follow rules without fining the motorists.
Lt-Col Saif Abdullah Al Falasi, director of traffic and patrol department of the Ajman Police, said the initiative, held under slogan 'Tolerance Without Traffic Violations', aimed to reflect the value of tolerance among the public.
"Traffic patrol officers were deployed early morning on Sunday, especially on crowded roads, to educate motorists about violations they were committing while on roads. They were given advice and guidance on how to be cautious while driving to reduce the percentage of traffic accidents and ensure the safety of community members," he said.

"The Ajman Police are keen to educate the public about the importance of taking traffic safety precautions. The initiative came as a conclusion to the tolerance activities held throughout the year. The move is aimed at achieving the goals of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) to enhance road security," added Lt-Col Al Falasi.
Drivers were thankful to the police officers who explained the violations and also gave them awareness leaflets. They also expressed their happiness on such initiatives and wishing the Ajman Police more excellence in enhancing security and safety.
