Serving as an example of being passionate of one's duty and commitment to the safety of Dubai, new Dubai Police Chief Major-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri conducted multiple field inspections on his first day at work.
In a series of photos and videos shared by Dubai Police on Instagram, Al Marri can be seen meeting top government officials. They also presented him with a cake to start his day as the new Police Chief on a sweet note.

Al Marri succeeds the late Lt-Gen Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, who died of a heart attack in November last year. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, named him as the commander-in-chief of Dubai Police on Wednesday.
The new Police Chief said that he would be up to the responsibility, and would always strive to be a role model for his colleague, leaders, officers, and other police staffers in ensuring the safety, security and happiness of each and every individual on this country.
He certainly shows that he's up for the responsibility with the way his first day turned out.
