Dubai Police Chief Lt. Gen. Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina with His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Dubai - The Dubai Ruler, members of the royal family and the Dubai Police expressed his personal condolences to the passing of the police chief earlier today.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai sent a series of tweets earlier today sending his personal condolences to Dubai Police Chief Lt. Gen. Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina who was reported to have passed away yesterday.
The Dubai Ruler's first tweet extended his condolences to the bereaved saying: 'My personal condolences to family, friends and people of Dubai and the UAE. Khamis has left a heritage for UAE and registered his name in UAE's glory history. UAE has lost a loyalist'
In his second tweet meanwhile, he honoured the police chief writing that he is a 'heroic officer in serving his country, and good father of a good family'
Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai also sent out his condolences in a tweet highlighting Al Mazeina’s hard work for the future.
The Dubai Ruler’s son Shaikh Mansour bin Mohammed Al Maktoum also mourned for Al Mazeina on an Instagram post wishing that he may rest in peace and also saying ‘god bless mercy on the man who did not sleep to make people sleep and safe.’
Dubai Police, the government body which Al Mazeina commanded, painted their social media in black and white to express their condolences for their General Commander.
