Al Tayer said that the project involved the development and improvement of the existing bridge on Al Khawaneej Road Intersection with Al Jazaer Road that separates Mirdif and Al Muhaishnah.
He said that the existing bridge would be replaced with a bridged intersection of high traffic capacity, in addition to the expansion of Al Khawaneej Road by 3.4 km and Al Jazaer Road by 1.6 km. intersection.
He added that a diversion would be con- structed to give a free left turn for those who come from Al Khawaneej Road towards Al Muhaisinah.
"A tunnel will also be built to ensure smooth flow for traffic coming from Emirates Road towards Al Khawaneej Road," he said adding that the project would also include all the services related to irrigation, sewage, lighting and traffic signs, as well as landscaping.
