Marmum backs census

Marmum Dairy Farm, a Dubai Investment subsidiary, one of the leading dairy farms in the UAE, is partnering with UAE Census the first-ever nationwide initiative aimed at providing better and efficient services to all residents by calibrating the demographics of the country.

As part of the partnership, all two-litre Marmum fresh milk and juice bottles will carry the specially designed 'Tedad' (Census) logo during the Census campaign between September and December 2005. Approximately 350,000 Marmum fresh milk and juice bottles will distributed in the UAE every month with the Tedad logo.

Commenting on Marmum's partnership, Hafsa Abdullah Al Ulama, Assistant Under-Secretary for Planning and Director-General of Census 2005, said: "We are extremely grateful to Marmum for partnering with us in this historical nationwide initiative. Marmum commands a growing reputation in the country and this association with the Census has underlined its commitment to the nation."

Speaking about the campaign, Shukri Al Muhairi, Marmum Dairy Farm Director, said: "Marmum Dairy Farm is proud to be part of this nation-building exercise and this association reflects our social commitment. This partnership with the Higher Census Authority is in line with our company's vision towards contributing to the society at large."

Marmum Dairy Farm, acquired by Dubai Investments in 1996, is the third largest dairy farm in the UAE.
