A manager, who allegedly lured a housewife to meet him for a job interview and then sexually harassed her in his flat, has been charged with molestation in the Court of First Instance.
The 33-year-old Pakistani is believed to have lured the Indian woman, 19, into his flat which he claimed was his office, where he locked her up and molested her.
The complainant, a housewife, said she was contacted by the defendant after she had sent her resume and other documents to his e-mail.
She had sent him her details as per an ad she read online.
"On March 22, I went with my husband to meet him in Al Rashidiya. My husband left for work when the defendant told me he wanted to teach me some work skills," she testified.
The accused then drove to his flat in International City where he led her into his bedroom. "He said he wanted to train me on his laptop. But he locked the door and said he liked me and wanted to have sex with me."
When she refused he grabbed her by force. "I felt scared and told him I would see him later so that he would let me go."
He took off his clothes and molested her, she claimed during the investigation. She asked him to drop her at her husband's workplace in Abu Hail. On the way, he told her not to tell anybody and that he would see her soon and would pay her a monthly salary.
She complained against him after telling her husband about what he did.
