A 29-year-old Emirati man, who allegedly provided two women with crystal meth, has been charged in a Dubai court.
The Court of First Instance heard that the unemployed defendant facilitated the drug use to the two women, who have been referred to the Court of Misdemeanors. He is also accused of driving his car while high on drugs.
The case dates back to January 16 and a complaint was registered at the Bur Dubai police station. The defendant was arrested by officers from the Dubai police anti-narcotics division.
Evidence presented at the court against the defendant included a report from the police crime lab, seven shots of amphetamine, several drug tools, a quantity weighing 4.52 grams of hashish, 659 amphetamine tablets and a quantity of amphetamine white powder.
Hearing sessions related to the case are also being held at the Court of Appeals.
The next hearing will be held on April 9.
