Man orders iPhone 8 online, gets dummy phone instead

The recent surge in incidents of customers being duped while buying products online in India is raising concerns regarding credibility of e-commerce portals. Several customers have reported having received either fake or damaged product especially electronic items bought online.

In one such incident in Delhi, a doctor had bought an iPhone 8 on the online shopping portal Flipkart and was shocked to see a dummy 'Spice' phone instead when he received his parcel on Saturday. The video uploaded on YouTube by Times of India shows the man with the dummy phone along with batteries and a pair of earphones, packed in an iPhone box. The man is heard saying that he was thrilled when he received his parcel but when he opened the iPhone box he realised he had been cheated. It is also reported that the online shopping portal has not reverted on the matter as of yet.
