An Egyptian man died in Dubai due to a drug overdose and three of his friends, who allegedly used the drug with him, were arrested, said police sources.

On October 13, the police received a call from a private hospital in Al Barsha about the man being admitted there by his parents.
The police rushed to the hospital and found that victim was admitted to the ICU as he was in a critical condition due to drug overdose. The condition of the victim worsened later and he died at the hospital. His body was referred to the forensic medicine department of the Dubai police for autopsy. The parents of the victim told the police that he was with his compatriot friend, identified as M.H.

The police raided the flat of the suspect and found some hashish and paraphernalia kept in his pocket. He was then referred to the Anti-Narcotic Department and when confronted him with the drug, he said that it was given to him by another suspect A.A.. He also said A.A. gave the contraband to him many times against taking money. When asked about the drug paraphernalia, he said it belonged to the victim, who hid it in his cupboard.

He confessed that the victim had been sitting with them where they were using drug with another suspect. The police searched his car and flat and recovered 2gm of hashish.
