An Indonesian house maid was arrested for killing her baby born out of wedlock in Sharjah on Saturday.
The Sharjah Police arrested the 27-year-old woman after receiving a tip-off from a cleaner of the Beeah, the Sharjah Environment Company.
He found the baby wrapped and buried at Al Nakheel Park in Buhairah Corniche. A team of officers and the Anjad patrol reached the site and shifted the body to the forensic laboratory.
The police soon launched an investigation and started searching for the maid, which ended in her ar-rest. The police found that she has been working with an Arab family illegally and referred her to the Public Prosecution.
The police are also in search of the father of the baby, who aided the woman in committing the crime.
