Values of tolerance, inclusivity, diversity I learnt in UAE have influenced me, says pageant winner
This 1930's painting has left many rubbing their eyes in disbelief. And why not, if there is an Apple iPhone in a painting that was made decades ago!
A closer inspection of the painting reveals much more than what is visible to the eyes, many are of the opinion. Towards the lower right of the frame of the painting, there is a character in a seated position who seems to be holding a small black object that appears to many like an iPhone.
According to a report by Motherboard, the American tribesman in Umberto Romano's painting called the 'Settling' looks to be holding an Apple iPhone, predating the famous device by seven decades. If that was not startling enough, the man is said to be holding the iPhone which looks like they are taking a selfie!
However, the report also tells that contrary to popular opinion, the 'device' might not be an iPhone but just a mirror which the native Americans of that era considered a symbol of wealth and prestige mainly because of a mirror's characteristic to reflect light.
Well, what do you think of the painting below? Anyone with more interesting opinions?
